I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

OH, yeah, Archer! So Raising Hope gets better after the pilot? it was quite the clunker.

OOh, I figured out which car's horn keeps going off. What should I write in the note??

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've hit a wall - my brain refuses to do any more work. This means I get to spend the rest of the afternoon on Hulu, right?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Leave a giant poster sized note that says:

"Thieves! Break into the car. Disconnect the horn and the car alarm and keep anything of value you find as a reward from a grateful neighborhood".

Probably not the most helpful suggestion.

Hah! It has many fewer instances of "fucking" in it than the ones I was thinking of. It seems to have stopped for the moment though.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

We just had an "in-shelter drill"--basically, a tornado drill without sitting along the edges of the hallway with our arms covering our heads. They just moved us all into the underground garage, where all TPTB park. I've been here 19 years, and that's the first time we've ever had that kind of drill. Fire drills, yes, but never this.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So, what I was saying the other day about my boss potentially having no place in the new organization? It's official. Confidential (dammit) but official. I am not 100% sure she knows.

In conclusion, hookers and blow.

I haven't watched all the eps of Raising Hope, but I've definitely enjoyed what I've seen.

There's a bit of a status thing around how distant and obscure the village is where you got your latest earrings, though.

Hah! Love this. I enjoy buying clothes/jewelry while traveling so when people say "oh, those are great earrings!" I can say "I got them in Budapest/Hawaii/Peru!"

yikes, Brenda.

I'm trying to figure out when to leave for the company picnic. It officially starts at 3 and goes until 8. I have no meetings this afternoon and my boss is going over there early. But Bob is coming out for it and can't leave his work until 530 or so. Do I really want to be there for that long? That's a lot of socializing.

And I only have my office for a couple of more days...

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

We're having an unofficial picnic/bbq today. Unofficial and annoying: it's at the Big Boss's place, which is an hour's drive away, in Novato. If you go, you get the afternoon off. If you don't go, you have to stay and work.

This is a treat? Yeah, whatever. I'll stay here and go to the farmer's market for lunch. Which, hey, it's time for that now!

We can charge up to 2 hours to picnic time.
