I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

Art Crawl!!!

Ai Weiwei has been released on bail.

It is Wednesday.

And it's lovely and cool with excellent cool breezes. A very nice change from yesterday. I believe I may actually do some knitting today.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ai Weiwei is a lovely name.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Today with juvenile coworkers: one of my coworkers is retiring next week. My Nemesis has wasted no time in asserting that she's supposed to take over all of his projects, even though she never gets the projects she legitimately has done, and even though nobody has in fact given such direction.

I don't want his projects, but I sure as hell don't want her taking them over, either.

Two university student were in the next booth at lunch: "I've figured out I don't need to be good at something. I just need to be good at convincing people I am good at something."

Destined for the civil service!

Art Crawl!!!

Steeplechase trainer, Dorothy ‘Dot’ Smithwick, lost her battle with life at the age of 82 on June 16, 2011.

Above statement from the opening to an obituary on a racing blog: isn't saying that somebody "lost their battle with life" an odd way of putting it?

I've heard it put that way when speaking of somebody who died as a result of a specific disease but not life itself.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So... life was trying to kill her?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

So... life was trying to kill her?

I feel like that every single day.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I discovered that I could get pink vanity plates NICEST. But they are a minimum of $50/year and you have to pay for 10 years to get that price.

The price is steep, but really? These plates NEED to be yours.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Life tries to kill us all. And it always wins...

For instance, my nose is trying to kill me AS WE SPEAK.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My sinuses have been trying to kill me all week. I don't know why they hate me so--I never did anything to them.
