Verizon has a flaky router out there. I hate spotty internet.
Natter 68: Bork Bork Bork
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
OK, slowly getting marginally better.
So I tried to take Loki out for a walk. But the kids freaked him out. God love'em but these kids...well. There are about 5 of them, aged 8 to 2 in that house. And completely wild. Their mother doesn't do much in the way of supervision, so they run wild up and down the block, on other porches, etc. They don't want to be a menace (they were really good when I told them they needed to all sit on the sidewalk if they wanted to meet the Lokes) but just so so in need of boundaries other than their mother's haphazard screaming harpy routine. And when the neighbors give them boundaries, they positively preen and FOLLOW THEM. And their mom doesn't seem to give a shit that the neighborhood is doing all the good parenting.
I feel bad for them. They're the neighborhood Oh Dears. (The youngest? Was literally born on the front steps across from me, just before I moved in. E heard screaming from the eldest and went out to discover this transpiring and called an ambulance and distracted the poor boy, who was rightfully freaked the fuck out.)
Just turned on White Collar and found a tornado warning. . . although, I think the most dangerous part is east of me now. In the western 'burbs and heading for Chicago.
Stupid verizon is losing posts and double commenting on fb. STUPID VERIZON.
In the western 'burbs and heading for Chicago.
Yikes! That's where Bob is now.
Well, I hope he's inside and downstairs!
The warning in my county was cancelled but it's still on in the Western 'burbs.
Weird to see a Shock Trauma ad with a fall victim on after they featured prominently in the news today (officer who fell off 83, lisah's posted link, was taken there.)
Well, I hope he's inside and downstairs!
He's at an Irish pub!
Well I know know what Joe Flanigan would look like if he gained 40 lbs. or so. I met with the husband of a friend-of-a-friend tonight to look at his design portfolio and offer any advice I could about local employment opportunities, and the resemblance was eerie.
He's at an Irish pub!
They either have a basement or walkin will do, given the footage from the other tornadoes! And more importantly, he's probably happy as can be without you.
