It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyway, it's a rare hot day in SF today, supposed to get into the 90s.

I love SF weather. Such a tiny city (eight miles by eight miles, I think) yet the weather can vary quite a bit depending where you are.

Art Crawl!!!

It's sunny and warm here.

And I have today and tomorrow off!

It's beautiful. And I will admit to not getting up until after 10. Ah, the beauty of getting back to my actual natural sleep cycle. . . only to have to get up and go to work too early on Thursday.

Yup. Not uncommon for a fifteen degree difference between The Sunset and The Mission. Two of the biggest factors in real estate here are how much cold fog the neighborhood gets (undesirable) and how much of a view you have (since there are so many hills). These are not real estate concerns in Jacksonville.

hip deep in pie

When I was a kid, I remember being in school as late as 6/28, and we definitely didn't go back until after Labor Day, so I assume it's the same deal now.

The school year is similar here.

unrealistic expectation of jumping into boxes or riding Roombas?

The greatest disappointment of my Roomba ownership is that neither cat will ride it.

They pay me in WOIMS

I was kind of thinking about going someplace where people won't care so much that it's the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

France? Bora Bora?

Scola,

if you find that place, please post it.

Well, they don't usually make a big fuss about it in San Francisco. Just avoid picking up the paper that day.

They do make a big deal out of the anniversary of the 1906 quake, though, but that's in October. Also, I think we're out of living survivors which used to be a thing.
