'Touched'
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2010? We have a few words for you.
So, I was not only a slacker about sending my gift, I was a slacker about opening mine. And I was dumb, because it's AWESOME!!!
The fabulous Perkins sent me a bunch of chocolates and 2 fabulous pairs of earrings. She also apparently thinks I'm an lush because there were cool cocktail napkins, a 3 Olives cocktail book and a really neat book "Cooking with Booze".
Okay, maybe she knows I'm a lush. Thanks, Perkins!

I had my first mojito tonight, and of course I thought of the always awesome Perkins. It was tasty.

I've been trying to decide if I have anything particular to say about 2010. I had thought that there was really nothing but I think I was wrong. About this time two years ago I hit a major low and started going to therapy and when I started I'd go and have very upsetting sessions (which would leave me full of thought and stuff) but now - I go and I realize that I'm happy and thinking forward. I have to say that if you aren't me - everything looks kind of the same but I think change is happening from the inside out and I am a much happier person that I was. It makes sense that it would happen that way since I am an introvert and I believe that internal changes will beget external ones. So 2010 has been a good year of change for me.
sumi, that's wonderful. And it hasn't gone unnoticed. There's been a noticeable positive change in the tone of your posts. It's good to hear that it's part of a more general good change in your life.

My gift has arrived! Well, technically it arrived a few days ago, but in a mail receptacle other than the one the postman left notice of, so it took a bit to clear up the confusion. Someone who remains very secretive sent me a Winchester Brothers T-shirt and a great Better Off Ted DVD set. Thanks Slacker Santa!
