Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs and that's all you've learned?

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2010: Don't Let the Door Hit Ya...

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2010? We have a few words for you.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I got a fabulous package from Deena yesterday! It was from Ten Thousand Villages, one of my favorite stores, and it had a gorgeous red-and-black embroidered purse from Laos -- big enough to fit a book, which is key -- and three delicious-smelling soaps from India. I can't wait to use them all! Also, the package was gift-wrapped with a very pretty little star ornament on top, which is the second ornament I received from Deena, since she also sent me a beautiful red-and-gold one from Suzi several weeks ago. Thank you, thank you, Deena!

Oh, good! I'm glad the gift finally made it to you, Jars.

Our wings are not tired.

It was from Ten Thousand Villages, one of my favorite stores

I love that store too. My cousin Barney (Slayer) sometimes sends me beautiful items from the one in Lincoln, NE.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Yay! I'm so glad you like it Kate! I was a little worried since it wasn't actually on any wish list, but that's one of my favorite stores too.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm a part of the slacker exchange as well this year. Neither sent mine (though I'll start working on it and hopefully, send it within the next two weeks) nor received, but I just wanted to tell to whoever got my name in it: if there are any troubles with finding me anything, you may want to ping Nilly and ask her for the list I sent her last year. I believe the indications are somewhat more clear there. Again, just in case of troubles and worries and concerns and etc..

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I too am a slacker. I have bought a few things but I need to get a few more before sending.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

So, I was not only a slacker about sending my gift, I was a slacker about opening mine. And I was dumb, because it's AWESOME!!!

The fabulous Perkins sent me a bunch of chocolates and 2 fabulous pairs of earrings. She also apparently thinks I'm an lush because there were cool cocktail napkins, a 3 Olives cocktail book and a really neat book "Cooking with Booze".

Okay, maybe she knows I'm a lush. Thanks, Perkins!
