We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2010: Don't Let the Door Hit Ya...

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2010? We have a few words for you.

Thank you, I replied.

Oh and Secret Santa, I got the note you sent me on elfster. I am still investigating though. The Truth Is Out There.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. I love the thought of the Secret Santa chortling away as msbelle relentlessly pursues.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Ok, work is over, the girl is home and I opened the box of goodies!!!

First, there was a small bag with two fantastic bars of chocolate - Milk chocolate creme brulee truffle bar (I know I'm missing accent marks) and Dark Lindt chocolate with a touch of sea salt (NOM!). These are going into the green fabric bag my secret santa sent earlier. The bag also had a pretty green beaded key chain.

Then, in the main part of the box was a ultra soft hot and cold personal spa set. This included a neck pillow, an eye mask, a neck wrap and a small all-purpose pad. The last three can provide hot or cold comfort. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Then another bar of chocolate - Madagascar single origin dark chocolate.

Finally there is a great bead organizer. I have outgrown the one I have now and have needed more storage for a while, so this is FANTASTIC.

Everything has been so wonderful. Part of the enclosed note read "The case is for your beads, the progress for after belt-tests and when you get headaches and the chocolate is for ALL THE TIME!" Yes, yes, yes...just what I need.

BUT my secret santa didn't identify herself, but who ever she is, I think she is the nicest. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

ahem, turn the note over, but you are right.

Ahahahahahaha!!!!!

t edit I'm NOT laughing at the gift or Suzi's reaction; just at the use of "nicest" and the Santa reveal.

Did I actually write "the progress for after belt-tests and when you get headaches" I am trying to think of what that might actually say rather than progress.

No, you wrote compress. My fingers just decided to trade words for no good reason.

And I just looked at the back of the note. DUR!

I want to move into the bead case, but we are baking cookies, so I shouldn't start another project at the same time. Darn it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Present opening time! First in the box was honey straws, "To: A drinker of tea, From: A lover of bears." I'm really glad I just ate them straight, rather than putting them in tea, because they were DELICIOUS.

Next, "To: The Cowgirl of the East, From: The Rose of the West," a beautiful tuberose soap! Yum! Then, "To: Froken H---, From Jule Hus, Solvang," a Christmas Pickle ornament! Awesome! THEN! "To: The Puzzler, From: The Riddler," a deck of Genius Puzzle Challenges. Fun! And THEN "To: Jesse, recent New Yorker, From: Two artists associated with your two homes," a little book of The Twelve Terrors of Christmas by John Updike with Edward Gorey drawings!

AND the mug?? I am so happy!

I love everything!! And feel like I should know who you are -- an SFista, right? ....megan walker?
