Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2010: Don't Let the Door Hit Ya...

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2010? We have a few words for you.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

you can ask anon questions on elfster also. Also emailing random b.orgers who know the giftee is worth a shot.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I can't do so much the secret part due to customs. It totally makes me sad...

I couldn't, either. And for customs to the US you have to put a form on the front saying what's inside! One year, sending a fun mix of gifts to cousins in Boston, I was a bit too vague, and the package got opened and half of it didn't get there. So now I am specific. Silly customs.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

For future reference, I'm happy to receive packages and send them on their way anonymously.

Punishingly Intricate

I thought the secret part was only leading up to the sending.

oops.

I also fail at getting to the post office today due to today sucking at work. So, I am sorry Secret Santee, will be even more later! But everything is bought and boxed and ready to go I SWEAR>

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Mine won't go out until tomorrow at the earliest. Sorry, Secret Santee!

I also emailed Deena at the non-gmail address, both to add my update to the database and to request info about my giftee, and didn't hear anything back. I'm pretty sure I used the address that Deena gave in her Press post, though. Hmm. Deena, can you tell us which address is best to use for you?

I thought the secret part was only leading up to the sending.

I think it varies. I like to know who sent me my gift, so I tend to let my giftee know who sent theirs, too.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

lisah, what Kate P said. It is completely up to the sender.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I mail mine out with "Secret Santa" in the sender block, but there's usually something in or about the package that will give it away.

My SS gift got dropped off at the UPS store today and I was told it should be in my giftee's hands in time for Christmas. Cheapest package I've mailed from there to date. (They keep very good records.)
