wow Scrappy, I don't think my kids would have been OK with me wearing a hockey mask like that. When Franny was 3 or so she was helping me give out candy and she refused to give any to the kids wearing the Scream masks because they scared her.

We got no trick or treaters, not even the neighbor kids from next door.
I didn't expect a lot of kids, but none? I am sad.
But I made an excellent batch of chili, with bitter chocolate and cinnamon added (and a whole lotta spice) and it was really good. Then we watched Walking Dead, which was fun.
Then Dan went to bed, and I watched Predators, because I was curious to see what Adrian Brody was like as an action hero (read: I wanted to see him ripped). Nice arms, dude!
Went to hear Ann Wright (only day she was in town). So did not get home until 8:00 P.M. Only one set of tricker treaters. Which was just as well, because it let me rest and fight off a migraine. Have candy to give away.
Person on another board I do said they'd put a bowl of candy out with a sign saying not to ring the doorbell (because their infant was asleep). Someone took all the candy, then took the bowl and threw it into the street, breaking it.
My fellow human beings really bum me out.
On the good side, one of my nieces had a really good calavera costume tonight. She had an embroidered Mexican dress and really great face painting.
Yeah did not put out bowl of candy for just that reason. Was sure would end up sans candy, bowl and possibly with vandalism. Less chance of mischief just leaving the house dark than putting out candy bowl.

I think I would still refuse to give out candy to people who scare me. But unless I am renting kids, I use the awesome time-honored tradition of My Lights Are Out and You May Not Knock for Candy.
Even with the lights on, I always get almost zero people here and, well, I don't like people so the lights are just off now. It's easier for all of us this way.
Scrappy, that's a great costume! I love it when the parents get into it, too.
Does anyone have a spare $18 million lying around? [link]
Holy crap! I wish I did!!!
