More cuties!
Yeah, Spidra, there are a lot of places that have non-Halloween official t-o-t times. I've never lived in one, but a local LJ community here gets the question every year about when is t-o-t. And all the locals are like, "???"
'Serenity'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, nail polish, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

You make a *fantastic* Rosie the Riveter. And Emeline... how much more pink could she be? The answer is none. None more pink.
We're home from a rugged hike up and down Belvedere Street. Several tiny Timmy Lincecums, one bubble Lady Gaga, lots of Iron Men and Spider-Men, a smattering of Captain Jack Sparrows, one Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, a family of lobsters, a Superman family, lots of wicked witches, one girl with amazing Dia de los Muertes face paint, twin boys from Matilda's old preschool dressed as cars from Cars, lots of fairies, two Princess Tianas, an excellent Harley Quinn, a family of Tootsie Rolls, one giant bag of felt M&Ms, one LOLCAT (wearing a big sign that said I CAN HAZ CANDY?), and one boy dressed as Facebook. Matilda was the only Wonder Woman. And I tweaked and refined my Mary Poppins costume from Friday, and it's practically perfect in every way. I never want to take it off, never, ever.
Also, how has it been ELEVEN YEARS since Anya donned her bunny suit?? HOW HOW HOW???

I love this!
Sherlock? Anyone?
Randomly, The Boy's comment while we were watching tonight's episode: "Oh my god, Sherlock is Sheldon!"
And...that's basically true.
"Oh my god, Sherlock is Sheldon!"
To an extent, but I think they're different because Sherlock could totally act like a normal human being if he wanted to. It's just not worth his effort. Sheldon is genuinely baffled by social conventions most of the time.
(One of my favorite BBT moments ever is right at the beginning of the series, in the second episode, when Leonard has to make a sarcasm sign for Sheldon.)
Aims, Pinkalicious is ADORABLE.
Rosie the Riveter:Official Amy/Aimee costume of 2010
And you totally outdid me on the Rosie front: The Amy half of the contingent.

You're right, but the comparison amuses the hell out of me.

I've had people tell me the first season isn't as good as the subsequent seasons, but I think it's fantastic, because of things like the sarcasm sign.
The first season has the episode where Sheldon is sick, which is the greatest thing ever. EVER.
Forgot to set the VCR before I left, and got back home late, so I missed the first 40 minutes.
I'm pretty sure I recognize the staircase with statue and some of the exhibits in the background from my visit to the British Museum. Was it clever sets, or did they really get to film there?
What I saw of the puzzle didn't impress me, and Watson's date was unreasonably forgiving.
