Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

Shots fired by the Lawrence L stop. It must have happened just before my train stopped there. Whee.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sara, I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of relieved that NOVA is like the one of our shows I don't feel like I need to be watching, but I'm really glad you are! ("The Suicide Tourist" on last night's Frontline repeat? Really sad.)

Hah. I'm a total sucker for PBS science shows. Especially astronomy ones, because, as I remarked on fb, there is a 90% chance I'm going to know some of the people or sites or whatever. I'm in a small business, and I have connections from birth.

(Suicide Tourist is on the .2 pbs channel right now, but I wasn't up for it.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am also very over the rain, and even more over the fact that it can be sunny enough for me to wear my sun glasses when I leave the office, but the minute I hit Belmont, it starts pouring, hard enough for my wipers to have trouble keeping up.

Hallo to you all from Mexico. Turns out vacation with nothing to do but lie by the pool or ocean, by yourself? Pretty boring. Sigh. I'm only on the first of six days!

Also the names "Sean" and "Geoff."

I TOTALLY read-and-mispronounced Sean as a kid. My sister was infamous for saying she wanted a "cuh-NOPEY" bed. I think I also may have pronounced it "epi-TOME". There's been others, but I've forgotten.

I'm similar with February and Wednesday. I know how to pronounce them correctly, but I mis-pronounce them in my head for spelling purposes.

Oh, this too! If I ever have to spell those, I have to pronounce them funny in my head, to do it.

Right, on Mad Men? "Sinjin"? Who the fuck is that? Is he a genie?

HAHAHAH! This is totally what I always thought when reading ridiculous romance novels. WTF kind of name is Sinjin? Sounds like he ought to be out with Aladdin.

Heh. I discovered that last year in Cancun. Find some good excursions and you'll be much happier.

I believe I learned that one from View to a Kill.

Ooh! Scion. SKY-un.

Fortunately neither of those really ever came up outside of novels.

Oh, that just reminded me of my Trixie Belden word -- jalopy.

hip deep in pie

Scion. SKY-un.

Ooh. That one often trips me up.

I just heard on the news a mispronunciation that drives me crazy, that I hear in some locals around here: Fustrating for Frustrating.
