Hah. I'm a total sucker for PBS science shows. Especially astronomy ones, because, as I remarked on fb, there is a 90% chance I'm going to know some of the people or sites or whatever. I'm in a small business, and I have connections from birth.

I am also very over the rain, and even more over the fact that it can be sunny enough for me to wear my sun glasses when I leave the office, but the minute I hit Belmont, it starts pouring, hard enough for my wipers to have trouble keeping up.

I TOTALLY read-and-mispronounced Sean as a kid. My sister was infamous for saying she wanted a "cuh-NOPEY" bed. I think I also may have pronounced it "epi-TOME". There's been others, but I've forgotten.
I'm similar with February and Wednesday. I know how to pronounce them correctly, but I mis-pronounce them in my head for spelling purposes.
Oh, this too! If I ever have to spell those, I have to pronounce them funny in my head, to do it.

HAHAHAH! This is totally what I always thought when reading ridiculous romance novels. WTF kind of name is Sinjin? Sounds like he ought to be out with Aladdin.

I just heard on the news a mispronunciation that drives me crazy, that I hear in some locals around here: Fustrating for Frustrating.
I think I must have picked up seneschal from fantasy novels. I just looked up how to pronounce it earlier, and have already forgotten.
Brenda, shame you can't be with me! Even more annoying--I'm sitting on the steps (which are pebbled, and OW) because the advertised WiFi doesn't reach my room. Hrmph.
...I do rather prefer this weather to Seattle's current weather, though! I just wish I had someone with me to talk to.
