Huh - it never would occur to me to think of the Taj Mahal as a religious monument, except in an incidental kind of way because it's a mausoleum and end-of-life rituals tend to be religiously based. (I'm sure some if not most of the decorative text is scripture, but that's like saying a gravestone with a Bible verse on it is a church. Which is silly.)

After 3 trips to the construction site at the middle school (1 by my dad, 2 by me), I got to talk to the foreman. At first he thought we wanted a ridiculous amount of fill so he was hesitant since he'll have to fill some of it back onsite when the time comes. However, when we got down to brass tacks he saw it was a very small amount of the ginormous pile on the construction site. So I get to pick up a pickup truck's worth on Monday and we can fill our raised beds without paying a ridonkulous amount of $$$ for potting soil.

I really hate going past "No Unauthorized People" signs so this was very hard for me to do and I almost didn't do it today. I'm glad I did and glad he said yes. Yay!

For my part, NSM on the mushrooms and potatoes. I mean, it's not bad, just not all it could be. I didn't clean the mushrooms well enough, and cooked everything at wrong temperatures or something. Eh. I mean, I'm eating it, but what a waste!

That's too bad, Jesse. I hate it when I get all excited about something I'm making and it doesn't turn out right.
