After I lose my weight and then finish off my master's, I'm hoping I can afford to take a few trips to the UK and Ireland. I've never been anywhere--I've never even had a passport--so it's definitely something I want to start doing as soon as I can get the money saved.

UGH! I'd hate that. I've gotten more and more sensitive to smoke as I've gotten older. For some reason, maybe brand or amount smoked? Some smokers smell way more strongly of smoke than others.

I didn't do Dublin on that trip because I was very broke and could get a lot more for my money staying in little B&Bs and wandering.
I went in and out of Dublin on my way to Cork. I missed the last bus of the day to Cork (at 3:30), and had to stay the night in Dublin all unplanned. It was a delicious feeling being alone in a strange city and nobody in the world knew where I was.

I think I mentioned, but a few months back I had a really fun evening out with my friend Kevin and his musician buddy and we had a blast recounting Ireland's history as told by hungover pub goers: "Feck! There is never a question about availability on this team. I may have to go to the ER a night early, if the squabbling teams can't get in line with each other. I hate to do that, because I peter out a day earlier. And I peter out early anyway.

And I think in general having work things at midnight and then 7am is unreasonable, but I don't know anyone else would care about that?
And I am currently blowing off a meeting that I already had a pre-meeting for, in case someone calls me back about her emergency, not mine. Awesome.
