I didn't do Dublin on that trip because I was very broke and could get a lot more for my money staying in little B&Bs and wandering.
I went in and out of Dublin on my way to Cork. I missed the last bus of the day to Cork (at 3:30), and had to stay the night in Dublin all unplanned. It was a delicious feeling being alone in a strange city and nobody in the world knew where I was.

I think I mentioned, but a few months back I had a really fun evening out with my friend Kevin and his musician buddy and we had a blast recounting Ireland's history as told by hungover pub goers: "Feck! There is never a question about availability on this team. I may have to go to the ER a night early, if the squabbling teams can't get in line with each other. I hate to do that, because I peter out a day earlier. And I peter out early anyway.

I'm feeling quite hurt on behalf of Scotland and Wales. Sure, they're not their own nations, but they are their own countries (or, you know, the actual correct semantics), and perfectly lovely and deserving of visits.
Also Canterbury. For some reason, my father and I kept ending up in Canterbury.
I've only been to Northern Ireland. One of these days I need to go back and see the rest of the island.
I would like to go to those places as well! There are many places I would like to go to.
Canterbury Cathedral was my favourite cathedral growing up.
