Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The pots are all glazed, a deep large royal blue urn-shaped one, one pale green and a several in a lovely celadon. A couple have incised circles or waves around the edge. All of them plus some plants were $50. We planted lavender in the large blue one, and mother-in-law's tongue in a couple of the smaller ones and some agave in another. We finally planted the gigantic amber glazed pot (it's four freaking feet high) our in-laws gave us for Xmas, too. That now has a large heavenly bamboo (well, as large as we could get for $20) in the middle, with vinca at the edge to spill over.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yay Suze!

I have the new garden bed mostly done. It could use a few more bags of soil, but there's enough there to cover all the weed paper and soaker hose. I'll let tomorrow's storm settle everything and then fill in the gaps later. My cat loved hanging out while I gardened. There's a post next to a bed of liriope, so I hitched him to that and let him play lion in the Serengeti while I carried bags of soil around.

The NC potter exhibit was lovely and a good break from the gardening stuff.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Boo, cars!

I'm going to make an apple galette for tomorrow. I should wait until the morning to make it, right?

I still laugh at K's reaction to driving a yellow bug.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JZ just got up to change the music and Matilda said, "Whatcha doin' Slappy Butt?"

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, Scrappy, $50? Well done. That all sounds gorgeous.

I'm loving the image of your cat helping you garden, Calli.

Yeah, it was a place called "Mostly Seconds" which sold, well, slightly off pots of all sizes. They are closing, so everything was 40% off. I are cheap.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I also feel somewhat human today. I went outside for three whole hours!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Grrrr. I hate the Bay Area sports bias against the A's.

Headline on SFGate - Bumgartner does well in 1st spring start for the Giants. Click on the article to discover that the A's won the game 6-0.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

If I were a Giants fan I'd suggest that this means the A's suck so badly, their not screwing something up is news even when they lose, whereas the Giants are so awesome that their victories are a dog-bites-man story, only to be expected.
