Wow, Scrappy, $50? Well done. That all sounds gorgeous.
I'm loving the image of your cat helping you garden, Calli.

Yeah, it was a place called "Mostly Seconds" which sold, well, slightly off pots of all sizes. They are closing, so everything was 40% off. I are cheap.
I also feel somewhat human today. I went outside for three whole hours!
Grrrr. I hate the Bay Area sports bias against the A's.
Headline on SFGate - Bumgartner does well in 1st spring start for the Giants. Click on the article to discover that the A's won the game 6-0.
If I were a Giants fan I'd suggest that this means the A's suck so badly, their not screwing something up is news even when they lose, whereas the Giants are so awesome that their victories are a dog-bites-man story, only to be expected.
Wow, how lovely, Scrappy! And a kicking deal to boot.
I am just now idly thinking about starting the inevitable cycle of weeding. There's no way I will ever win this battle until we have a fence that can stop the damn tumbleweeds from just rolling in, no matter what I do. But I do have some work I want to do.
I just wished I'd finished all the inside organizey stuff before, you know, now. It was all great winter work, but what with being sick umpteen times and all, I just never got it done.
So, Justified. That's a pretty good show. Wish someone had told me. Oh, yeah, you did.
I don't eat much oatmeal but when Mom made it when I was little she called it "porridge" and made it with butter, brown sugar and raisins.
The only thing I really know about McDonald's Fruit and Maple Oatmeal is that it's not made with real maple. Except in Vermont where it's against the law to advertise something as maple without it being true maple syrup. Whatever McDonald's uses is a close cousin to maple but not the real thing.
I make homemade instant oatmeal packets from a recipe someone linked to here. Oatmeal, cut-up prunes + tbsp of other dried fruit, and chia seeds. Keeps me full for about three hours. It's caloric, though.
Thanks for letting me burble on about my yard, you guys. This whole gardening thing is still pretty new to me. Neither of my parents gardened beyond the minimum and then I spent 20 years in apartments. I am trying to learn how to do it at the same time as I try to figure out what I like--it's a process.
