Socks are all I need in the winter, in addition to the quilt my grandma made me when I was 3. I could be sleeping in a mink coat, but if my feet are bare, I'm freezing. Hubby's in multiple blankets plus sweats, but his internal temperature is whacked as well. The air conditioner lives in the bedroom in summer.

I alternate sets of Charter Club damask stripe sheets. I like the silky feel rather than something softer and more flannel-y.
I probably should get some use out of that ultra-fancy synthetic silk sheet I treated myself to years ago. But I don't know what I did with the cleaning fluid for it, and the place I bought it from went out of business.
I have lots and lots of sheets, because I tend to only throw away/repurpose whatever part of the set gets stained or wornout, but I don't have many sets outside the ones I keep for the guest room.
Yeah, we have only the one set per season. Flannel for winter, cotton for summer. They're expensive sheets, but I refuse to buy them at full price, so they're nice sheets bought cheaply at overstock or tj maxx or whatever.
I probably should have more because of the dog. But the next freshly laundered set is just going to get dirty anyway, so...
How often do you launder/switch your sheets? And how often do your turn your mattress? Except ita, I know you don't have to turn the tempurpedics.
I have about 10 sheet sets...all cotton...but I no longer use the top sheet. And sleep better for it, oddly enough. In summer, I have a light flannel blanket that I use on the top and in winter, I go European and use a flannel duvet cover. Something about not getting caught up in multiple layers causes me to rest easier. Also, I sweat less.
We wash ours once a week. We turned the mattress every other week, but our cheap-ass mattress got lumpy, so we we have a memory foam topper and just leave it be.
And how often do your turn your mattress?
Probably twice a year.
laundering sheets
I do it less often now that I'm not sharing them with anyone. When someone else is in, I wash them once or twice a fortnight.
When I'm nga, um, when I think of it.
I would be perfectly happy with the duvet cover and bottom sheet only, if the duvet itself were a bit larger. As it is, one or the other of us steals it during the night and burrito wraps themselves in it.
Which used to work fine, as it's big enough for both of us to do this. It is not, however, big enough for both of us to do that with the dog in between us. It would also be fine if he slept under the covers with us, which he does sometimes, but then he's the one who steals them when he wakes up in the middle of the night and exits the bed via the footboard.
I have sheets made out of that stuff, uh....gotta go look. Ah, beech! I have 2 sets per bed, but only one in rotation because I need to do some stitching on the other set. Devi's discovered a fetish for clawing them, which is not good. They are super thin and silky. And pricey, but I only buy them on sale or with a coupon. [link] in plum and burgundy.
Sheets get washed on the same schedule as the rest of the laundry, every 2 weeks. Which I am doing right now!
I have to go out and get supplies for the Super Bowl tomorrow. *whine*
