Burrell, I like Groupon for the most part (hell, I bought $60 worth of Groupons for a gluten-free bakery from them today for $30), but I think their attempts at "humor" (scare quotes intentional) are just weak and sad. They just try too hard and aren't as cool and funny as they think they are.

Liese, I hope things get much better today.
Our heat pump has quit, so I'm there with you. It took me ages to realize, since we use gas below a certain temp, but the past few days have featured a freezing house at midday. I thought the thermostat at first, but no. It's the 1 year old heat pump. If this has anything to do with our most recent heart-dropping gas bill, I'm tempted to ask the guys who installed the heater to deal with some of the bill. Wish I could really do that.
Here's hoping Matilda feels better.

I came here all ready to bitch about it being 14F outside this morning with easily 3 feet of snow still unmelted... and a car that won't start...
and um, realized that at least I have a warm house and plowed streets and the right clothes to walk to work in.
