No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ugh. Matilda has a cough that hasn't responded to two doses of cough medicine.

I'm already tensing up knowing how little sleep I'll get tonight.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

WTF?!? Who the hell dips a giggling babies in wax?

The fine people from the Society for the Preservation of Giggling Babies, that's who.

I always wondered how you got Hummel Figures.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

So cold! I am snuggled on the couch with the puppies. There is about 4 in of snow on the ground and under that about an inch of ice. Guess who gets to go in anyway due to a meeting called on Wed. By bosses boss. I will give you a hint. She has two thumbs and is awake at 4am.

not your mom's socks.

Liese, I hope things get much better today.

Our heat pump has quit, so I'm there with you. It took me ages to realize, since we use gas below a certain temp, but the past few days have featured a freezing house at midday. I thought the thermostat at first, but no. It's the 1 year old heat pump. If this has anything to do with our most recent heart-dropping gas bill, I'm tempted to ask the guys who installed the heater to deal with some of the bill. Wish I could really do that.

Here's hoping Matilda feels better.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm pretty wide open, I think.

Me, too, I think. I'll check my calendar when I get to work.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I came here all ready to bitch about it being 14F outside this morning with easily 3 feet of snow still unmelted... and a car that won't start...

and um, realized that at least I have a warm house and plowed streets and the right clothes to walk to work in.

Trust my rage

I was driving home yesterday on the interstate and it was slightly snowing. Suddenly, everyone was braking and whe my brakes didn't respond I pulled into the shoulder. It was so weird- I know how to drive in snow but my car wouldn't stop. It didn't swerve or anything like that from ice/slipping and the ABS/traction system didn't kick in. The car just wouldn't stop for about 100yds.

Well, I have a Prius and later I realized that maybe that is connected to my weird stopping. I already was talking about this on LJ but now I'm sort of freaked out to drive my car the 85 miles to court this morning and then back.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

yikes everyone! be safe, and warm.

We were supposed to be watching one of mac's classmates today, but with the new snow one of the parents is staying home. I was looking forward to him having someone to play with.
