I so do, but I've been pushing the boundaries of my WFH recently anyway so I kind of need to go in.
To be honest, I woke up feeling kind of vile this morning, so I probably should work from home tomorrow. I guess I'll wait and see how I feel in the morning, and if my dept. head or manager weigh in.
I'm meeting a friend at Flattop Grill on Wabash tomorrow (expiring Groupon) if you want to join us.
If I actually make it downtown tomorrow, I'll text you!
I don't like WFH. I appreciate that I don't have to risk life and limb, but I find myself getting distracted by house stuff, while being too disciplined (at home) to do any of it.
I am sarameg. I also get irritable because I don't get any exercise.
Yeah, I actually don't see a lot of kids in the TJ by me, and when I do, they're usually pretty mellow. The parking is problematic, though. Well, the section right by the store is, because people need to park as close as they possibly can. And they need to back into the space. In their SUVs. So I always park on the other side of the lot and walk through the traffic jam.
...I suppose I could be moderately fair: since I'm just shopping for one person it isn't hard for me to carry my groceries a bit further. If I had to tote enough food for a whole family I'd probably want to park closer too. Fine! Stupid logic.
But that doesn't excuse the backing-in nonsense.
The best thing about my TJs is the clerk who looks kinda like Jensen Ackles. More of that, please.
Why would someone back into a parking space at a grocery store? Wouldn't that make it much more difficult to get the grocery bags into the trunk?

I finally have a compelling reason to move. Next door to a different TJ's.
After tomorrow, I will be at H, with no WFH possible. I should come up with a schedule.
As for TJ's, my thing is the frozen tamales. And the lemon-ginger-echinacea juice. Oh, and the tortellini and the sausages. And occasionally the spicy California rolls. I don't buy cheese there unless I'm going to use it right away: there's something wrong with their wrapping and it often goes moldy almost immediately.
But I totally get my Kashi Go Lean and shredded wheat there.
They used to have a peanut mix I loved: half honey-roasted peanuts, half wasabi peas. So awesome.

Well, there's your explanation for the crowd.
On parking: I read a study years ago about people's parking habits in big lots, and it came out, obviously, that driving around and around for a good spot ended up in more time and more stress then just parking wherever. Which is totally obvious when you hear it, and yet?
It's hard to be non-competitive about this stuff, but whenever I think about that study I just head right on to the far end of the lot, park and feel way more relaxed about the whole deal.
Wouldn't that make it much more difficult to get the grocery bags into the trunk?
I don't put the grocery bags in the trunk.
Okay, Tim Roth's character in Lie to Me this week?
Complete
bastardy. And very sweet.

Mmm, mine was out of the cheese and green chili ones last time I shopped. I really wanted some. Oh well. Another trip...

Neither do I. Unless I go grocery shopping with P and she drives. Then when we get back here, I quickly pop my trunk and transfer all my bags there so she can leave.
