Mmmmm, TJs has this milk chocolate-nut cookie that I cannot keep in the apartment, or I will eat the entire container. It's like a Heath bar, in cookie form.
I like their steak burritos and red salsa. Their frozen mac and cheese is pretty good, too.

It's supposed to get below zero tonight.
I just heard sirens go off. Like civil defense sirens. What is this, a Yeti attack?
Code blue warning?

Snow cyclone. It's the logical next step after blizzard and thundersnow.
There's very few kids at the TJ's by me, but it's tiny and hard to navigate so it probably amounts to the same thing. And I go there on the way from work so unless I've been late or done other errands it's usually packed.
I don't particularly want to work from home another day
I so do, but I've been pushing the boundaries of my WFH recently anyway so I kind of need to go in.
I'm meeting a friend at Flattop Grill on Wabash tomorrow (expiring Groupon) if you want to join us.
school here is closed again tomorrow. I may well break out the arts & crafts.
I was so glad when the TJ's in Alameda opened. It was very close, had much better parking and more reasonable clientele than my previous TJ's.
Now, I am without TJ's. It is sad making. I lurve their Maple Cookies. Last time Kelly came out she brought some ginger covered cookies - I don't know what they are called - but they were delish. She said they had come packaged with some chocolate covered, choc/peanut butter covered, and peppermint covered cookies. But the ginger were the bestest.
Yes, windchills of -30 tonight is what I've heard - a high of 10 tomorrow and 20 on Friday. (Balmy.)
I don't like WFH. I appreciate that I don't have to risk life and limb, but I find myself getting distracted by house stuff, while being too disciplined (at home) to do any of it. So I get frustrated and irritated by the state of my house. Plus, the cats get demanding and pesty. I swear, they are 75% more troublemaking when I'm home working. If I weren't trying to work, they wouldn't pull some of the shit they do.
Oh man. My parents' area is still having rolling blackouts. 2 power plants aren't producing (not sure if it is related to the weather or just horrible coincidence.) It's 10F down there, with 3 inches of snow over ice (according to my mom and the news) and the plows and salt and shovels are all in the mountains and up north, and even then, not even close to what say Baltimore has. These are really unusual storms for there.
