My parents got 3" of snow. As a result, schools, University and community colleges are closed. Missile range isn't planning on "opening" (it is a military base after all) until past noon. The electric company is having issues with generating power due to the storm and has asked people to help reduce load.
3" cripples southern NM. They just have to wait for it to melt.
Ha! Apparently the guy who took Grace's order realized how pissed I was. The dietician just called the nurse. Who just came in to clarify.

It's raining at a fair clip here right now.
I have a snow day, which I really can't afford, especially because I stayed home yesterday (and I'd have to deal with the car today). Missed Class #2 as well, but the video should be up by sometime tonight.
Dr. just called, closed. Not even 1" of snow here and we are on rolling blackouts, schools are closed, and I think the biggest worry is that the superbowl activities are being hurt.
Well, Football IS a priority.
All snarking aside, it's a big money thing so understandable about the worry.
I don't know if this is of interest to anyone, but I got an email from Uno's offering a free kid's meal with an adult's if you have a snow day this week.

That is infuriating, Kat!
We had issues with Bob getting sent food he wasn't supposed to eat when he was at Hopkins after his surgery. Also getting solid foods sent up before he was allowed to eat them! Not as bad as your situation but, still, it was a total communication fail!

The dietician just called. She's all, "But the computer says that I can't and I'll get in trouble for it."
"Um. If you don't, I'll walk down to the cafeteria, buy applesauce and yogurt myself along with juice and just feed her. I am in charge of her diet. She does NOT get milk, formula or orange juice. To send that up would make her reflux."
Last night I ordered fish, peas, carrots, applesauce, yogurt and cranberry juice and no one blinked. For lunch she had turkey and gravy, carrots, green beans, pureed peaches, yogurt, juice and again no issues.
what changed in the computer since then?
I better head down to the cafeteria now.
