The map visualizations of Yasi are jaw dropping. But I agree with Sparky, Perkins, you should be asleep!
I had a crap night in a recliner for a bit then in Grace's bed with her for a bit. Now I am up, though I hope Grace remains asleep. I believe she isn't, but if I don't acknowledge her or turn on lights maybe she will STAY asleep.
Everyone here is unfailingly solicitous. More so than our last stay. Grace is still suspicious, though I appreciate that they offered me juice and coffee and finally brought me a gallon of drinking water.
I'm still not sure how life on pediatrics work (do any of the parents with kids who have been hospitalized know?) I do all of the heavy lifting of diaper changing, grooming, feeding and they just deal with the IV, her vitals and breathing treatments. Next time I'm tempted to bring all of her treatments and just administer them myself. Ditto for the singulair which we have missed both visits.
Bah. I probably could make it to work today, as the bus I usually take is running. But the police are telling people not to travel. Maybe I'll email my boss about what the police said and not mention the bus, because I really don't feel like going out in this weather.
It may run now, but what about tonight? You don't want to spend the night at work. Your plan not to mention the bus is a wise one.
Tommyrot, stay home. For sure.
Yeah, I emailed my boss about what the police said. I'm staying home.
Seriously Tom. Every authority is saying stay home until afternoon. That's not reasonable to ask you to schlep in.
Definitely stay home, Tommy.
Perkins, you should be asleep!
I went back to sleep a little, kind of.
No snowpocalypse here - just lots and lots of icky freezing rain. Hopefully the sun will come out at some point and start melting the leftovers from the umpteen snowfalls in January.
I'm currently debating whether I want a shower badly enough to move the sleeping baby off my chest.
bets on whether the Dr. office is open for my 9:30? I guess I should call.
BASTARDS in "patient dining" won't send up Grace's food because.... I don't know. Her food has been restricted to cream of wheat (which is fine), whole milk (which she is lactose intolerant so no), ensure (again, no lactose plus according to her doctor's orders she does NOT get canned formula), orange juice (to which I am allergic and I never give to the kids EVER due to fear that they have my same citric thing because it seems like their skin erupts when they have it) and applesauce.
No yogurt, which makes no sense.
I am pissed beyond the telling. I think I need to find the dietician and the nurse.
