I want to go to the grocery store today on my way home, but am afraid that it will be full of people buying toilet paper and milk (although someone once did a study and the actual most purchased items were beer and diapers).
I just want to pick up some stuff for my Superbowl contribution (7 layer dip and cheddar chive mini corn muffins)
Hey, maybe no one will need tech support this Sunday! Or, more likely, they'll be rushing it to get it done before the game comes on.
Glad to hear Grace's surgery went well. Here's hoping for a quick and minimally painful recovery.
I'm home!
I got a ride from a co-worker who leaves east of town. The roads are not too bad and people seem to be sensible so far. It is snowing much harder than it was this morning as was expected.
And glad to hear that Grace's surgery went well. That is good news.
All right, I'm heading out of work for the day. Wish me luck on getting home without much trouble.
The Trib's Blizzard Blog: Cook County jail is on lockdown.
I'm so glad that Grace came out of surgery fine, Kat! I'm vibing hard for her full recovery.
I just got home--yay! Traffic was already busy, the roads were slippery, but at least visibility was all right. Filled up my gas tank on the way home ($3.39--eek!). The worst thing was after I parked in the lot here, when I realized that the wind had blown a several-inch-tall drift right across the sidewalk leading to my building door. It'll be huge by tomorrow! I hope the shovelers come by either late tomorrow night or early Thursday morning to clear everything.
the desk is 80% cleaner than it was and I made a dent in the kitchen table paper mess also. YAY!
I need to make lunch and then I'll start on something else.
Glad to hear things went smoothly for Grace!
I have gotten to the point that I cringe inwardly any time I see that a cashier is a pretty blonde teenager. So often their skill set seems to be confined to looking sad and helpless until a co-worker comes over to do their job for them.
