I'm so glad that Grace came out of surgery fine, Kat! I'm vibing hard for her full recovery.
I just got home--yay! Traffic was already busy, the roads were slippery, but at least visibility was all right. Filled up my gas tank on the way home ($3.39--eek!). The worst thing was after I parked in the lot here, when I realized that the wind had blown a several-inch-tall drift right across the sidewalk leading to my building door. It'll be huge by tomorrow! I hope the shovelers come by either late tomorrow night or early Thursday morning to clear everything.
the desk is 80% cleaner than it was and I made a dent in the kitchen table paper mess also. YAY!
I need to make lunch and then I'll start on something else.
Glad to hear things went smoothly for Grace!
I have gotten to the point that I cringe inwardly any time I see that a cashier is a pretty blonde teenager. So often their skill set seems to be confined to looking sad and helpless until a co-worker comes over to do their job for them.
Okay, cool! Just wanted to make sure it was legit. I'll have to check it out.
Ditto.
I ran out at exactly 3:30, thanks to a coworker tracking the buses, so we walked out and there it was! Sweet.
I went to work, and even did several onerous paperwork tasks.
And then I came home, and will probably spend the rest of the day in the recliner.
At least I don't have snow.
Blargh. Attempted to shovel sleet from the driveway before the snow hits. I made it about 1/3 of the way down. Sleet is
heavy,
man.
Huh. Maybe my student intern did send me one of those invitations. Weeeird.
I'm now working from home the rest of the day, and will do the same tomorrow. I was kind of tempted to stop at the grocery store, but I didn't
really
need anything.
