I have gotten to the point that I cringe inwardly any time I see that a cashier is a pretty blonde teenager. So often their skill set seems to be confined to looking sad and helpless until a co-worker comes over to do their job for them.

I ran out at exactly 3:30, thanks to a coworker tracking the buses, so we walked out and there it was! Sweet.
I went to work, and even did several onerous paperwork tasks.
And then I came home, and will probably spend the rest of the day in the recliner.
At least I don't have snow.
Blargh. Attempted to shovel sleet from the driveway before the snow hits. I made it about 1/3 of the way down. Sleet is heavy, man.
Huh. Maybe my student intern did send me one of those invitations. Weeeird.
I'm now working from home the rest of the day, and will do the same tomorrow. I was kind of tempted to stop at the grocery store, but I didn't really need anything.
In case you were wondering, IO9 still sucks, and seems to work less in Opera 11 than it did this morning.
It is just COMING down here. I surely hope we don't lose power.
OTOH, my piles of grading are starting to go down. If I could walk into school on...whenever (Wed. classes haven't been cancelled yet, but I will eat my own head if we have class tomorrow or Thursday -- please, we all KNOW there is no school tomorrow, just fucking call it, please -- I will be SO much less stressed.
