8 clementines might last 3 days at our house, maybe.

oy, today was crazy running around.

So in the last 2 days, between 2 thrift stores I got mac a coat, a lighter weight jacket, a sweater, and 8 long sleeve shirts for about $40.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm glad that other people have clementine pain. I thought I was a wuss. I can handle three at a sitting, tops, and then I kick myself.

They always go bad on me. Sucks. But I try.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I could totally eat eight clementines at one sitting. I would regret it, but that would not stop me during the doing of it.

Frozen birdbath. Not froaen. But you all knew that, right? And I think they were accusatory rather than dumb. They usually fly off when I come to the window, but they kept looking at me instead. I was guilted into defrosting, but I`m pretty sure after I walked out there they were too scared to come back.

Part of my great pissiness during this last snow-in was that I missed a chance to buy a full length wool coat in petite for ten bucks. 300 dollar coat for ten bucks because it had a small tear in the lining. Bah.

Because books.

The consignment store in town has incredible stuff for really reasonable prices, but since they don't have a website I keep adding stuff to my ModCloth wishlist, which is about to explode, it's so long.

Now tagless for your comfort.

You know what's awesome? Getting back on skates after a long week and a half off and having a kick-ass practice. Then having a beer afterwards.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My grandmother's house near Orlando had a wonderful tangerine tree. We would pick a bunch while we were there and driving home my sister and I would sit in the back seat eating tangerines until we felt sick. We certainly ate at least eight apiece. I think it was more like a dozen.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I pretty much eat any fresh fruit until I`m sick. Discipline is not one of my virtues.

WE didn't grow our own citrus at home, We got ours on the road, where they chased us with bags of fruit--oranges, otaheite apples, jackfruit, mangoes when they're in season. WE grew bananas and sorrel mostly, and mangoes when they were in season.

but what type of mango?

meara - Jan 06, 2011 6:36:19 pm PST #15251 of 30001

what are otaheite apples?

Y'all inspired me to buy clementines. I suspect I could eat many at a time, but these are freakishly large clementines, and I'm eating them after eating pho, so I only had two.
