Now tagless for your comfort.

You know what's awesome? Getting back on skates after a long week and a half off and having a kick-ass practice. Then having a beer afterwards.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My grandmother's house near Orlando had a wonderful tangerine tree. We would pick a bunch while we were there and driving home my sister and I would sit in the back seat eating tangerines until we felt sick. We certainly ate at least eight apiece. I think it was more like a dozen.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I pretty much eat any fresh fruit until I`m sick. Discipline is not one of my virtues.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

WE didn't grow our own citrus at home, We got ours on the road, where they chased us with bags of fruit--oranges, otaheite apples, jackfruit, mangoes when they're in season. WE grew bananas and sorrel mostly, and mangoes when they were in season.

but what type of mango?

meara - Jan 06, 2011 6:36:19 pm PST #15251 of 30001

what are otaheite apples?

Y'all inspired me to buy clementines. I suspect I could eat many at a time, but these are freakishly large clementines, and I'm eating them after eating pho, so I only had two.

Bombay mango, East indian, Julie, mostly, for the adults. Stringies and commons for the kids.

Otaheite apples are pear-shaped red-skinned white fleshed perfumed taste fruit. Very refreshing.

There comes a point at the night where the keyboard becomes much harder to use, and it dictates what I have to say.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

thirding recommendation for morningstar spicy black bean burgers. do not be fooled by gardenburger black bean burgers, they are bland and overly starchy. i never liked boca but then i don't like beef...so the "meat-like" stuff doesn't appear. TJ's indian masala burgers are delicious but not at all like a burger- more of a delightfully junky spiced patty.

I hear tell from thems that do like meat-like veggie burgers that the boca grillers are top notch.

I just tried on the clothes I bought today. Only one thing is a little tight. I thought it was Talbot dominated, but there were only 3 Talbot things: 2 dresses with matching jackets and then a shirt. The rest: 3 piece silk suit, Anne Klein pant suit, polka-dot camisole with matching button up jacket/shirt, summer full skirt with tags still on, drapey cardigan, multi-colored striped mid-weight coat that I think is homemade, an argyle cardigan, Land's End long summer cotton dress, and a heavy Land's End zipper front cardigan. $65 total. seriously, none stained, none torn, none missing buttons.
