Nora, we don't have a joint checking yet. We use separate bank accounts. So up until now TCG has just given me a check for half of our monthly expenses I pay for things out of my account.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
Of course, their mom and everybody else called them Mary Catherine (MaryCat), Mary Elizabeth (MaryLiz), Mary Rose, Mary Margaret, etc. It was like polysyllabic names, the first two of which were Mary.
"Compound" names, also a very Southern thing! My cousins include Patsy Ruth, Sara Caroline, and Mary Louis (and her daughter Mary Brooke). In my head it's all one name, Patsyruth, Saracayrlin, Merrlewis.
