We had no stuffing either, but it was a conscious choice. Abby wanted mashed potatoes, so I made those as today's starch.
Tomorrow, I'm making a big ass pan of stuffing to have with leftover turkey.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Second, Happy Thanksgiving!
Third... I had a third. I can't remember what it was now, but I had one.
The only downside to going to dinner at my friends' homes for Thanksgiving is the lack of leftovers. Maybe I'll pick up some pre-made turkey and a box of Stouffer's dressing this afternoon, if there's any in the store.

We had a great thanksgiving - just Mom, me, Bro, Dad, and cutest nephew ever!
Instead of the traditional turkey we had Pesto Turkey Breast and Honey Grilled Quail.
With what turned out to be Pesto gravy (made from the drippings of the turky) and it was yummy.
My nephew is still kinda shy around me, and I accidentally made him cry. But when I was cooking I did get random leg hugs.
Also even though he can say his name he refers to himself as Boy. He'll say his name if you show a picture of himself but if you ask "What's your name"
BOY!
askye, I'm glad you had such a great day. Random leg hugs are fun. And that meal sounds delicious!

Had a great meal with minimum maternal fussing. She even stayed relatively calm when a bobbled pepper grinder pass resulted in a broken piece of china.
Then we watched Doctor Who, kind of a holiday tradition. We're still only on season 2.
Now I'm back home, with lots and lots to do. For the moment I'm watching NCIS and eating asparagus fritatta and jarlsberg cheese.
Ugh. I got super sick last night, and don't know if it was the migraine (I haven't had one that made me that sick in years) or worse thought, if it was the food! Now I'm scared to eat my leftovers. AND, because I felt so bad, I left the pie out overnight. Anyone know if it's still good?
meara, I'm sorry you were so sick. What kind of pie? If apple or other non-creamy fruit it's perfectly ok. If pumpkin, or something with dairy in it, I'll have to check further.

Pfft. More for me.
