Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

'Why We Fight'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Good luck tomorrow, Aimee. I'm sure you'll do great.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

A whole lot of Buffistas are having a rough time right now. I learned about one of the funniest lists ever from this boards. If aren't already familiar with this and need cheering, this is worth seeing. Even if you already know about it it is worth being reminded of:

The 213 things Skippy is no longer allowed to do in the U.S. Army

The things Skippy can no longer do include:
3. Not allowed to threaten anyone with black magic.
4. Not allowed to challenge anyone’s disbelief of black magic by asking for hair.
...
23. Must never ask anyone who outranks me if they’ve been smoking crack.
24. Must not tell any officer that I am smarter than they are, especially if it’s true.
141. Not allowed to use a broadsword to disprove “The Pen is Mightier than the sword”.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Job~ma to quester. Legal and Enough with the Crazy Folks Already!~ma to Barb. Continued~ma to Trudy's sister. And much goodluck~ma to Aims.

And yeah, still pretty much shocked over Sean's story.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sean, what an evil bitch.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Much test~ma to Aims and job~ma to quester. Barb, I hope the crazy lady takes her crazy elsewhere.

typo boy, Skippy's List is great. A number of earlier entries on the blog section go into greater detail about some of the list items. I especially like the one about the sheep.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I am heaed to the bride's house in a bit to get ready. Calm~ma headed to the Dallas area for the entire wedding party would not go to waste.

not your mom's socks.

Sean, that's a horrible thing for someone to do. No one deserves being treated like that. Somehow I suspect she's secretly trapped in her own psycho-high-school brain and determined to pull everyone else in there with her. I'm glad you're out here with us.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Am drugged. Hi! Breathing has resumed; alas, coherent thought has fled. Look, a kitty!

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Ouch, Zenkitty. Glad to hear breathing is happening once again, though!

Wedding-party-calm~ma, sj! Hope it goes well.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Trudy, I'm glad to hear that your sister is going to be okay, though it sounds scary!

job ~ma to quester.

Good luck to both Aims and Barb.

Zenkitty, I know the rush of cold meds well. Enjoy the breathing, woooooo.

Sean, I wish I could say something more profound than what others here have said, but I am so grateful that you felt comfortable enough to tell us what you went through. I knew something truly awful had happened, but didn't know the specifics. Now that I do, I am so. so sorry that you went through that, and that you are still dealing with the fallout. There are people who, for whatever reason, prey on other people's emotional vulnerability and goodwill. It's hateful and insidious, and unfortunately has lasting effects. I'm glad that whatever love and support we can offer is at least a little helpful, because you deserve it. And the good thing? It will always be there, so when you're ready for more, it'll be there then, too. That's what's so great about buffistas: awesomeness and wisdom and loyalty, on tap.

My house is in chaos: luggage from the Denver trip strewn everywhere, and I'm going to Nashville in five days. WHAT? And then I'm throwing a Halloween party five days after I get back. I think I should just give up on getting my life in any semblance of order. Let chaos reign!
