May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've got a frozen pizza in the oven, because I have no energy for actual cooking.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, my fried chicken was takeout. Nom.

Frustrated and stressy today. I'm mostly okay, but this week really sucks my ass. Feh.

My pizza is eh. It's a gluten-free crust, and not a very good one. (The only brand of frozen pizza with vegan cheese that the local grocery store carries also has gluten-free crust. I figured I'd give it a try.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I had an apple, some cheese, and a piece of cornbread for dinner. Lunch was big, so dinner's more low-key.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

We saw bald eagles today!

Yay for smonster taking the job, not so yay on the folderal with getting answers.

Also, lots of yay for the SHOUT AT THE DEVIL tshirt. Glad to hear it got good results for you, Jilli.

Sox, I'm thinking gentle, quiet, not too bright light thoughts at your migraine. Go, you, for finishing that exam.

I took a short walk along the short of Lake Pepin [link] We can see the Pearl of the Lake paddlewheel boat from our hotel room.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Bald eagles are badass. They are HYUGE.

Well, today was a first for me. My credit card got compromised somehow and someone ran up a bunch of charges. So my credit card is cancelled the day before a long-planned road trip.

Spidra, can you buy travelers checks? If you don't have the money to pay for travelers checks, can someone lend you it?

I've got $ in the bank so I can pull out $ as I need it. It's just inconvenient. A trip is a great time to run up credit card points and I hope that if I run up enough I might be able to pay for tix to visit a friend in the UK. No card = no points.

However, WF was pro about it all. They're rushing the card to my cousin's and hopefully I'll get it by Friday. In the meantime I'm an all cash girl (which I'm pretty used to since I refused to even get a credit card until I was 41).

Thanks for the suggestion, though, Typo Boy!

I feel pretty weird and I guess it's just the depression. I've been looking forward to this trip for a while. I've been pretty unhappy since moving to LA and miss the Bay Area LOADS. Yet I'm not packed, I'm not motivated to do all the planning and preparing I should. I'm not acting like I'm raring to go. When I am.
