Hey, don't worry about it. Nest full of vampires, you come get me, okay. Box full of puppies, that's more of a judgement call.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My school colors have been blue and white; green and white; red, white, and black; green and blue; buff and blue; and now blue and white again.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My first college, Roanoke, were maroon and white. Their mascott was originally The Dasies but had over time evolved to The Maroons (the maroon being a fictional sort of cat that looked vaguely like a bobcat).

My second college, NYU, were violet and white. They were the Violets. In time they evolved into the Bobcats based on their library (funded by Elmer and Mamdouha Bobst)'s card catalogue which was, naturally, called the BOBCAT.

So I have attended two schools where shameful flower mascots were discarded for straw-grasping felines. It may the only two where this would be possible.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Middle school: maroon and gold
High school: red, white, and blue
College: green and gold
Grad school: crimson and white

My current school is blue and gold. The staff all wear yellow/gold shirts every Wednesdsay and spirit wear every Friday. Takes the guesswork out of picking clothes 2 days per week. Also, the school gives us spirit wear. A new shirt every year. This year's is nice. It's a black polo with our blue and gold logo on it.

giraffe mode

High school colors were red and white mascot: Sea Hawk Somewhere in the last 35 years they have added black - I don't know why.

College was green and gold as befitting a natural resource school (go Fighting Lumberjacks!)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

No colors whatsoever, but damn, I miss my high school.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

damn, I miss my high school

This could not be further from how I feel about mine.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey, all. It's a really, really gorgeous day here; I have opened as many windows as I could. The cats are LOVING that.

Steph, Seska, thanks for the light-box info. Maybe getting one this winter would be a good move -- right now, I think I'll try to get as much sun in the morning as I can.

And...I got a brand change for my sleeping pills! Goodbye, Qualitest manufactory crap zolpidem generics! Cross-fingers for me for hopefully 6+ hours of sleep tonight!

My high school colors were blue and white; we were the Central HS Indians. Clicherama. College -- green and yellow, I think, and the Bearcats. No one really knows what a bearcat is.

I thought the morning glory seeds I planted by the front fencelet this June had died, but about 3 weeks ago, it started growing like WHOA and I have the lush, gorgeous growth of periwinkle blue morning glories covering it. Love it SO much. Next year, I'm planting it earlier, and I think I'm plant those and the deep, deep purple ones. I'll have to shoot a photo or two.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I moved during middle school. From blue and white Vikings to blue and gold Falcons.

High school was green and gold, and back to being a Viking again. I still have a stocking hat in those colors, for that once or twice every couple of years that I actually need to wear a stocking hat.

College was blue and olive green.

Law school was sky blue (detractors call it baby blue) and white.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, Jilli and other steampunklians, this Sunday is Sonoma County's Handcar Regatta!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Erin, you may not have to replant your morning glories. They are super-fantastic at re-seeding themselves. It is one of the reasons morning glories are illegal in Arizona - they can take over a cotton field in no time flat.
