I'm very sad for those with insomnia that I got more sleep last night while at work than you probably got at home in your own beds. Yes, that's right, I got paid to sleep. Well, I got paid to be on premises, available to assist with two-person transfers for an individual who is becoming weaker - age-related decline rapidly advancing - for whom we do not have the optimal accessibility and equipment. But in between assisting with that person, I was allowed (and encouraged) to sleep. I went in at 9pm on Saturday, helped with a couple of transfers overnight, then got myself ready to face the day, as my regular shift started at 8am this morning, and I got off at 4pm. The over-night sleep thing gets paid at minimum wage, I believe. But its overtime, too. I got at least 5 1/2 hours of sleep, which is as much as I get on the nights when I have to be at work by 8am, anyway.
St. Woot is, indeed, cute.
StW is a cutie! I'm glad things are going so well for you, smonster.
Uh oh, OkCupid just sent me a quiver match who i've already been on a date with. I think it's time to walk away from internet dating and give up.
Aims! Warner Brothers announces Harry Potter studio tour.
They're keeping the actual sets from the movies up at Leavesden.
it's nothing~ma for lisah
Today was ridiculously rainy, but our garden didn't wash away. I call that a win. Lots of trees down in the area. We made it downtown to see a lot of beetles, moths, and six-legged things (mostly) at the natural science museum's Bug Fest. HKF declined to try a chocolate chip chirp cookie (yes, with crickets). I don't blame her. The beekeeper who wore a beard of bees is probably going to be a muddled memory that comes back as a dream, since she was crashed out by that point. I hope it's a good dream.

I was in StW's quiver. Just sayin'. But I have walked away from OKC many a time, because it's mostly exhausting and depressing.
I don't know anything about OKC, so -- what is a "quiver" and a "quiver match"? All I can think of is the fundie Quiverfull movement, and I'm assuming that OKC doesn't have a sub-section devoted to bringing together women who want to have 25 babies and the men who want to repeatedly knock them up.
Unrelatedly, I have now slept 3 nights in a row without Ambien, and slept pretty darn well (or well-ish). Now, in the spirit of full disclosure: I'm still taking valerian root and melatonin, but I was taking them before and they did nothing. So I'm going to make the assumption that maybe it's taken 3 months off the Wellbutrin for my norepinephrine levels to calm the fuck down (or calm down enough that just valerian root and melatonin can help me sleep). I'll take the win.
(Now that I've said all that, I will probably be bug-eyed with insomnia tonight.)
