I am sorry, but there is no way in hell that that is acceptable. I understand that there is skill involved in managing and walking a pack of dogs, but PR work requires more refined skills. You're not just being asked to execute a PR strategy; you're being asked to envision, create, AND execute an entire campaign.
Plus, I would be expending my own political capital and contacts (which are greater than even I imagined before I started thinking about it) to implement the PR campaign for this product launch.
