If i'm using spray-on bendaryl for my annoying squash rash, is there any problem using generic claritin or allegra for other allergy symptoms? This allergy med stuff is brand new to me, but apparently there is something in the air this week that displeases my immune system.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
smonster, Sparky's letter is great, but I would change this
You told me that the water would be my responsibility [which was not my understanding and is not stated in the lease However, given the severity of the issue,] I went to the Water and Sewage Board (W&SB) in an attempt to remedy the situation.
You don't want to give the impression that you are taking responsibility for something when he didn't make that clear in the lease.
Sparky and Vortex, thank you so, so much.
New wrinkle - neighbor two doors down has half that house available, which he'll rent to me for $600. Pluses: usable back yard, landlord with only one place to maintain and who's very handy, month-to-month lease, no deposit, much cheaper (might not need roommate). Minuses: Tiny rooms, carpeting instead of hardwoods, window units instead of central air, itty bitty kitchen, 8 ft ceilings instead of 14 ft.
So it looks like I've got an escape plan if I need one on a couple days notice, but I wouldn't want to live there longterm.
Well, that's something at least, till you can find something longterm. You'd have water at least!
Eyedoc gave me a prescription for allergy drops, which is made of yay, and said all my other symptoms sound like ocular migraines, which certainly NOT yay, but completely in line with my migraine ++ status. So, why might my GP have not mentioned that as a possibility three whole months ago when the word migraine is all over my chart? You are correct in guessing I'm not happy with him, again. Looking for a new doc now, in fact. And possibly a neuro, though I'm going to bet folding money that these extra awesome new migraines that started when all the other sinus woes started are allergy related too. Health rant endeth here.
What are you all having for lunch today? I had a bento box, which I couldn't see, because of the eye dr drops. That was all sorts of hilarious.
I go with the people saying to state what you want to happen in the letter--if water isn't restored by (date), you're moving out and considering the lease broken and no rent paid for the time wihtout water? If it is fixed by (date) you'll start paying rent as of that date? In the meantime he has to...put you up somewhere? I mean, you've paid to have cable and internet and stuff set up, so if you move that's a loss, right?
Lunch was a slice of meatloaf with gravy, a small scoop of mashed potatoes, and one or two baby carrots.
I indulged myself yesterday at the grocery store and bought a box of Skinny Cow mint ice cream sandwiches. They're yummy, much more than I thought they'd be. I've already had a few of them yesterday, but told myself that I will not eat any on days that I don't swim. Since I'm dyeing my hair tonight and won't be swimming until Saturday as a result, they will remain untouched in my freezer until then. I hope.
I mean, you've paid to have cable and internet and stuff set up, so if you move that's a loss, right?
Yes, but, given his shadiness I don't want to stay longer than six months here, and half my shit is still in boxes, so maybe I should just go ahead and move. Plus, if I move two doors down, I'd make back what I would lose in under a month.
Nora, Max is the neighbor, which you probably figured.
Damn, I liked it better when I was threadhogging with StW likes carrots.
Revised letter: On July 5, 2011, the water was turned off at the house at [address]. I contacted you immediately to notify you of the situation, via telephone.
You told me that the water would be my responsibility which was not my understanding and is not stated in the lease. However, given the severity of the issue, I went to the Water and Sewage Board (W&SB) in an attempt to remedy the situation. The W&SB informed me that there had been no legal meter at [address] since December 2008. Therefore, in order to have a water meter installed a permit must be filed, an inspection must be performed by a licensed plumber and the city, and a tampering fee paid to the W&SB.
I informed you of the requirements outlined by the W&SB on July 6th. To date, no plumbing appointment has been scheduled.
Despite my repeated attempts to contact you and discuss the situation, there has been no resolution nor has there been any evidence that one is forthcoming. This is unacceptable. The lack of running water renders this apartment uninhabitable (c.f. Landlord's failure to maintain the apartment in a habitable condition. Freeman v. G.T.S. Corp., 363 So.2d 1247 (La. App. 4th Cir. 1978). Therefore, this letter is to notify you that if water isn't restored by July 14th, 2011, I am exercising my right to void the lease and move out. In that case, my rent check for July will only be for the days that I had water, July 1st - 4th. Should the water be restored by July 14th, I will prorate my rent check to compensate for the days without water.
Damn, I liked it better when I was threadhogging with StW likes carrots.
Threadhogging for happy things is much more fun, I agree. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. Moving is stressful enough as it is.
