No, we ate at 13 (tater tachos!) and then hung out at R Bar. I liked it! It was my first time there, and calmer than it's seemed when I passed by on the way to Frenchmen.
Girl, good luck with the fundraiser. That's a long day. I'm about to go mattress shopping, whee.
Sweetie, if you can do this, the 'hard' stuff will be far less than you might expect.
Thankfully, he is appreciative of my honesty and directness, and responds in kind.
Yay for St. Woot, smoster!
Ma~ for you, your mom and grandmother, Pix!
I've been mattress shopping for five minutes and hate it already. I'm going to end up getting oversold, I can tell. Feh.
OH MY GOD I WOULD SELL A KIDNEY FOR A TEMPURPEDIC.
See?
I met a guy once who was a professional mattress tester. He slept on them all and reviewed them for their manufacturers. I asked him what he slept on, expecting to hear Sealy or Temperpedic or some such. He told me that at home, he slept on an air mattress on the floor. So, you know, I figure it isn't worth it to buy an expensive mattress.
I'm thinking about buying a cheap, firm mattress and a memory foam topper. And my air mattress was great, until my cats put holes in it.

Sounds like a perfect plan. I love my memory foam topper.
That seems like the perfect plan, smonster.
I sleep on a mattress that is so soft, it has a me shaped crater in the center. I lurve it. Plus, a feather topper AND a wool topper. MMMM.....comfy.
That's what we have, smonster, and it works great.
I know it`s NOT DONE these days because of bedbugs and whatnot, but I bought my mattress at a thrift shop. $100 and I went in on 50% day, so fifty bucks for a king sized mattress in fabulous condition.
