Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I have Firefly DVDs as well, in case of emergency.
Nora, I love you so much. Found mine.
I should probably close out my browser before he gets here.
Though there's always the webcam to leave on . . .
Happy Independance Day, Merkins!
um, I only know one definition for merkin, and I wouldn't use it to describe a friend. Am I missing something?
Heh. I had the exact same reaction.
Have fun! (let me know if you figure out a good spot for fireworks!)
I'm back from my honeymoon! And we have no hot water, so we can't do the laundry we rather desperately need to do. (I usually just wash stuff in cold water, but our clothes got pretty icky with sunscreen, bug spray, lots of travel crud, etc., so I think hot water is called for.)
Anyway, we had a fantastic time, and we each took several hundred photos, so I'm sure some of them will make their way to FB in the next couple of weeks.
Now I must make a grocery list and hope the landlord calls back soon...
re: Merkins- I was trying to be funny and specific at the same time. I know not all Americans celebrate independance on the 4th of July and USian just doesn't roll off the tongue the way Merkin does. snicker.

I guess I'm revealing my US-centricness, but I think if you said "Americans," I would have assumed you didn't mean South Americans, Central Americans, or even non-US-North Americans. Since this is such a US-specific holiday and all, I would have assumed that "American" was shorthand for "citizen of the United States of America," which does after all have the word "America" in its name.
But I do assume things a lot based on context and popular usage.
I didn't know the (other) meaning of merkin, so I looked it up. And now I am snickering at the idea of proudly independent flag-waving merkins.
