Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Anyone have suggestions for where to look for mid-range furniture? Stuff made of real wood, not particle board, but not hugely expensive. I've tried IKEA, West Elm, Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, Sears, Macy's, JC Penney, and Bed Bath & Beyond, and most of them had something similar to what I wanted, but not quite right. Any other places I should look?
There's something very funny about the idea of an amish carpenter having a website...
Isn't that how he celebrated Mother's Day, too?
Good point. I'm going to tell him that he needs to come up with some new material.
Sigh. Absolutely, exactly, perfectly the table that I want: [link] For $650 plus shipping from California. I can maybe pay as much as $300 or so for something that's perfect, but $650 is just way too much.
Hil, try Gothic Cabinet Craft - I don't know how much they charge for shipping outside NYC, but that's where my kitchen table is from.
I'm going to tell him that he needs to come up with some new material.
Not literally, I hope.
Thanks, Jess. I took a look, and they don't have quite what I'm looking for.
I've got a bit of free time on Thursday. Maybe I'll take a look at some furniture stores and antique stores then. I really should stop looking now, though, because my ankle is hurting and it's just making me annoyed at everything.
Hil, is the important factor style or size?
Hil, is the important factor style or size?
Ah, the eternal question...
