I like a lot of the Year of Slow Cooking recipes, though I often find I need to add a little more seasoning than she adds. But I will definitely try that lasagna!

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
If it's not too personal, Steph, does Tim find that being GF help his ADHD at all?
I suck. I'm having family over on Sunday. Today was my last day to be at home all day to get the house in order and I got nothing done.
I echo many of Tep's recommendations and can add Trader Joe's English muffins, sliced and well toasted. I've really enjoyed them with peanut butter, etc.
That is the only gluten-free bread I've liked.

Heh. He does not eat GF. I mean, if I make a GF banana bread, he eats it because I can't eat it all before it goes bad. And he eats the lasagna, but that's the same situation -- I make it because *I* can eat it, and since there's so much, he eats it, too. But when it comes to lunches, sandwiches, etc., and his many many many cookies, he still eats regular gluten-y stuff.
(I would *really* like to get him to eat less sugar, but then that would require more vigilance of my own sugar consumption, too, and that makes me sad. And the man drinks coffee around the clock; I would love to get him to cut back on that, too.)
But let me know how it works with Em, and maybe I can use her as anecdata to nudge Tim in that direction.

TJs has gluten-free english muffins?!?!?!? HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS.

Have you tried Udi's, bonny? Texture- and taste-wise, it is indistinguishable from regular gluten-y bread. I mean, I almost cried the first time I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with it.
Oh! I can also vouch for the Betty Crocker GF brownie mix -- the brownies are indistinguishable from regular gluten-y brownies in terms of taste and texture.

I have not tried Udi's. I'll give it a go because my experience, up until now makes your claim difficult to believe! So much so that bread has become a big ol blegh in my mind.
DO try the TJ's e-ms, but make sure you toast them really well. They get a lovely crisp and hold together better than any others I've tried. Great delivery systems for butters of any kind. Also, they are so thick, I generally slice them into three parts. That way, more crispy bits!

No, you will cry, it is so good. Regular soft sandwich bread. Not dense, not crumbly -- it is a frigging miracle.
Hallelujah!
I also endorse Udi's bread. But any Gluten-free bread tastes better when toasted. That's true of buns and bagels, too.
omg I'm having something delicious but so not gluten free coconut twix! They're like girl scout samoas !
