Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

it is indistinguishable from regular gluten-y bread. I mean, I almost cried the first time I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with it.

I have not tried Udi's. I'll give it a go because my experience, up until now makes your claim difficult to believe! So much so that bread has become a big ol blegh in my mind.

DO try the TJ's e-ms, but make sure you toast them really well. They get a lovely crisp and hold together better than any others I've tried. Great delivery systems for butters of any kind. Also, they are so thick, I generally slice them into three parts. That way, more crispy bits!

No, you will cry, it is so good. Regular soft sandwich bread. Not dense, not crumbly -- it is a frigging miracle.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I also endorse Udi's bread. But any Gluten-free bread tastes better when toasted. That's true of buns and bagels, too.

I don't mind the TJ's gluten-free bread. It smells...of something. Not sure what. Yeast? But like it's not quite DONE. However, it tastes fine, and I have eaten it with butter and jam as toast, and it holds up well. I also like their corn crackers, but I hate rice crackers, so a lot of "gluten free crackers" are ricey and I don't like them.

Not that I've really been at all gluten free lately.

Anyone know what, besides medication, could cause random weight gain? Especially all in MAH BELLAY. Seriously, though--according to the scale at the gym last night, I've gained even MORE weight. That's a good 30 pounds since September or so. And 10 even since I've been working out 3-5 times a week. And no, that's not all muscle, my clothes don't fit super better! I'm starting to poke at my belly and go "TUMAH? AH YOU IN THERE?"

meara, do you track what you eat? Because when I haven't tracked my food in a while and then resume tracking, I am generally surprised at how damn much I really am eating. It doesn't seem like it should add up, and then it does.

Well, your metabolism changes as you get older. One of my friends described her thirties as "The Thickening."

Hrmph. Do not want.

Steph, I haven't been assiduously tracking, but the times I do, I'm definitely going over "diet" (1400 calories or less) but not, I think, over enough that I should be gaining weight like crazy!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Belly bloat is menstrual for me. *pokes* And maybe cheese. I really would weigh less if I broke up with cheese.

I think I am freaking out a wee bit more than I want to admit about getting over when the clock ticks over. Drat. I was pretty zen for the thirties too. Now I don't want it to be tomorrow cause OLDER.
