Can I have some ~ma around 6:30 board time? I'm having my second MRI today, and I really freaked out last time.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Pix, I think you conducted yourself with absolute dignity and integrity in this situation.
Thank you so much. I really want (and as the new dept chair, need) to come across as dignified and professional. Any indication of spitefulness would damage my reputation with the senior admin right as I'm taking on this new position. (And ND knows that as much as I'd love to see him do that, he really can't. But yeah, I get the temptation. Thing is? I doubt Tino would even get the connection.) My hope is that the email will leave senior admin thinking that I handled it well.
sj, so much -ma for you. Can you request a sedative and explain the degree of your phobia?

It was so good to see you on Friday!
Pix, my doctor told me to double up on my anti-anxiety meds. So, hopefully that will help. Last time I was able to get through the procedure and then freaked out after, which I guess is better than not being able to do it at all.
WTF? I kept feeling a stinging sensation under my arm and finally looked to discover that the armpit is covered with a nasty rash. I haven't changed soap, deodorant, detergent or anything else that touches the skin.
eta: I'm glad you got through it all right, sj.
Ginger could it be a heat rash?
I just edited my post for clarity. It was last time that I got through it before freaking out. Still taking all the -ma I can get for today.
Much ~ma sj, that you get through it with a minimum of stress.
May this time be much less stressful, sj.
It could be heat rash. Heaven knows there's enough heat. However, the rest of me got as hot as my left armpit, so why is it so localized?
Abrasion from a piece of clothing, maybe?
Armpits can be one of the hottest, darkest and definitely most frictiony places on the body. During the most humid days of the summer, I often have to use BodyGlide to ward off the dreaded chafe.
