[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

WTF? I kept feeling a stinging sensation under my arm and finally looked to discover that the armpit is covered with a nasty rash. I haven't changed soap, deodorant, detergent or anything else that touches the skin.

eta: I'm glad you got through it all right, sj.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ginger could it be a heat rash?

I just edited my post for clarity. It was last time that I got through it before freaking out. Still taking all the -ma I can get for today.

“Not dead yet!”

Much ~ma sj, that you get through it with a minimum of stress.

May this time be much less stressful, sj.

It could be heat rash. Heaven knows there's enough heat. However, the rest of me got as hot as my left armpit, so why is it so localized?

“Not dead yet!”

Abrasion from a piece of clothing, maybe?

Compassionately intolerant

Armpits can be one of the hottest, darkest and definitely most frictiony places on the body. During the most humid days of the summer, I often have to use BodyGlide to ward off the dreaded chafe.

I've been wearing the same ratty t-shirts as usual.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Aims, from way back

Although some of it might be mitigated if the parents used any sort of discipline at home. From an outsider's perspective, that is.

ODD makes discipline in the traditional sense counterproductive.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

A while ago the Post magazine had an article about women with ADD - I kind of skimmed it, didn't think about it much. Yesterday, they had two letters in response: one from a woman with ADD saying that they didn't give women much hope, that there was no information about the kinds of resources available; the second from a woman who's seen children with ADD/ADHD and commenting that they eat huge amounts of sugar and watch a lot of TV and why can't that be considered as a factor.

sigh

Lots of ~ma to you, sj.
