Mal. Don't abuse your human servant.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Mal, Harvey would like to recommend walking on your human servant's hair as a means of asserting your authority - it does less permanent damage.
Was at a fandom friend's wedding this weekend. It was truly beautiful. Victorian gothic theme, with one of the most gorgeous wedding cakes I've ever seen, and her dress was incredible. And someone kept bringing me double vodkas.
Wishing mental health to all non-human companions of Buffistas. (I'm fairly sure Hamish had social anxiety disorder. And I think she was nearly blind, but that's quite possibly normal for very small hamsters.)
Isn't Hamish a boy's name? Large, redheaded Scotsmen's name?
Generally, it is. We have odd pet names. Our previous hamster was named after a seaside town in Yorkshire. If we get a cat or dog, which we are thinking about doing (if we can find a breed to which The Girl is not allergic), I might start naming them after electrical household objects. Or schools of philosophical thought. Or sociologists. "Walkies, Bourdieu!"
I have purple nails.
I should really do another 1/2 chapter and review the 3 in the other book mom sent, but now I'm wanting a nap, and I should maybe also eat.
Maybe eat and see how I feel after?
Seska, your happy post is making me smile.
I went to the pharmacy, picked up my ADs and smokes, and am now installed at an outside table with herbal tea and a maple cupcake. I'd like to work for an hour before getting dinner.
Today is full of fail. It's 78º, my apartment is hot and I have a sinus headache. Bah!
Erin, I'm sorry Mal's causing pain for no good reason.
Sounds like a lovely wedding, Seska.
It's great to hear about everybody's productive day. So far I've gone grocery shopping, picked up a few plants at the botanical garden, discovered a fresh luna moth drying its wings [link] finished some stuff for my spring altar, and planted the new plants. I suspect that's the end of today's productivity.
I have done dishes, gone out for brunch, gone to Ikea to buy hangers AND ONLY BOUGHT HANGERS, and washed off and replaced all the furniture and plants in the backyard, which took a solid two hours. It now looks great and we are both wiped out. Now to use my new hangers to try to reorganize my clothing storage.
Wow, i just found out that Fred Meyers (our local mondo store) has a "free fuschia" event next Saturday where you bring in empty planters and they fill them with dirt and flowers. ZOMG. Gonna have to take my lunch at the beginning of my day so i can hit the beginning with some of my boring empty pots! I am worried about the crowds....but free potting soil and pretty flowers? Can't turn that down.
I worked an hour and a half. Now to get some dinner.
