Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

RIP, Knut the polar Bear

Aww, that's sad.

Zepolle, has been achieved along with a yummy cappuccino.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, poor Knut.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

In a House rerun I saw yesterday, he turned his cane into a sword and a shotgun (dream sequence--House has gotten trippier since I stopped watching regularly). Betcha that would get you a seat on any public transportation you wanted, Trudy.

That WOULD be fun...

Cattle prod's great until you accidentally stick yourself in the foot with it. Are you up to wearing steel toes yet?

Alas, no. The steel toes will come in when I'm technically healed enough to go in the pit but still anxious about getting my feet stepped on.

Uhhh, I would recommend the kind that have hard plastic instead of steel, considering.

Maaaaaaaan! "Steel toe" sounds so much more badass than "composite reinforced forefoot". Mostly, I want these: [link] I am confident they can be worked into my Killjoy persona.

Yesterday I walked on my new feet a bit too much and wound up having to take a vicoden at bed. Booooo! Today I'm being very good to them. After my long-awaited shower they got massaged with coconut oil and dressed and are being elevated more or less all day. I'm skipping my exercises today because my feet are REALLY pissed off at me and the shower inspired a lot of, um, we'll call it shedding.

Progress is good though. If anyone wants to take a peek at the whole little saga I have a little album [link] (which includes a warning once the bandages come off).

Safe travels, pt, and joints, people!

I have often fantasized about my crutches having sword capabilities, so I got great pleasure from that dream sequence.

Don't they have sword-canes? Surely you could work out some sort of sword-crutch thing, sj. I vote for it.

Erin, your gardening sounds awesome! I am super excited because it is a GORGEOUS day here, and it's supposed to be pretty tomorrow too. YAY SPRING!

Also, I just spent $90 at Goodwill so I will have some clothes that fit. Of course, at Goodwill, $90 buys me five pairs of pants, two skirts, three dresses, two jackets, two pairs of shorts, and a pair of shoes.

Then I went to Target and spent another $100, on...I'm not sure what. Batteries and swimsuit and TP?

Then I would just need a license to cut ignorant people who don't know that it is easier for them to get out of my way than it is for me to get out of theirs.

“Not dead yet!”

And you went just for the TP, right?

meara - Mar 19, 2011 1:50:09 pm PDT #17968 of 30000

Actually I went for the TP and the swimsuit (or the hopes thereof). And sunscreen. And immodium (I'm going to Mexico, just in case...). But somehow it all added up to more money than Goodwill, even though the bags were a lot smaller...

Adulthood fail. I just now realized that the t-shirt I have been wearing all day has quite a few tiny moth holes in it. I wonder how much of my other clothing has been eaten.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Don't they have sword-canes?

By they, do you mean me? Because I totally do. Also, in highly excellent sword-for-ita news, my Dread Pirate Roberts sword finally came, and I am totally in love. I'm so glad I got this instead of the Six Fingered Man's sword, actually.
