I love the internet. I wanted to go to a disability studies conference that's going on this week, but I couldn't afford it. But they're streaming the keynote sessions! Managing to hear my hero Liz Crow speaking on her research and other work on Aktion T4.
Jars, I second the wheat-elimination suggestion. I feel much better without it. I'm just not always good at sticking to a wheat-free diet. (I did just bake some lovely gluten-free bread. Which helps with that!)
quester and sj, insent.
There is a repeating bleep from my computer that I can't identify. Been going on for a week. Very odd.
Congratulations, Kate! Glad the day was as wonderful as you are!
Congrats, Kate! Saw pics on fb. I love your shoes!!!

I found someone to make me a dress for the wedding!
Congrats Kate! Much wedded bliss to you.
I have an obscure medical question. I feel a little like Xander with the funny syphillis.
So, my decade old athlete's foot problem (left foot only) seems to have blossomed into full blown jungle rot. Seriously different and overblown.
Beginning yesterday, I developed a fever. Last night, it got to above 103 and broke a couple of times. Now, it's holding steady at 100.3.
Can fungus cause a fever? Or are they unrelated? It's weird because the the normal, "I have a cold" lymph nodes are not involved, just the ones in my back.
I'm currently soaking my foot in apple cider vinegar, which by the way, hurts like a mofo.
Anybody have experience and/or a wild theory?
