Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good luck Vortex! Does that mean you have to commute to the law school?

I didn't get the job because I don't have an outgoing enough personality!

What kind of job was it, sign dancer?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I just want a boss that I can trust. Is that so wrong?

Not so wrong! I hate people that tell you what you want to hear. One of our pastors is like that...basically the same personality as when he was a serious addict. Drives me no end of crazy. And I'm sure I rub him the wrong way too, because I always tell him how it is, even when I know he doesn't want to know it. Why can't people just say stuff that's true?

Anyway, yeah, good luck.

oh, quester, I'm sorry. Have you tried working with a job coach or someone like that who would give you honest feedback on how you come across in an interview?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

This time it was a dispatcher at a tech company. 2 weeks ago it was a receptionist at an insurance company. I can't believe this is a legitimate critisism! It's not like I don't speak to people or frown at them all the time.

No, I'm not gifted at making chit-chat and I don't feel comfortable joking around until I know people better. Why does that disqualify me for jobs?

I guess I'm not exuding confidence. Well, I've been unemployed for 2 years so, no, I don't have a lot to spare!

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

No, I haven't done that. I supposed I should but it seems very onerrous to me.

In my yearly review I got dinged for not being friendly with my coworkers. Apparently I'm not chatty enough in the lunch room and don't make an effort to have a work buddy. I'm afraid I got kind of snappy when I asked how being chatty about inanities in the lunch room affected my work as a tech support person over the phone and instant chats. I don't think my supervisor likes me as much anymore.
