Bev, you guys have done some amazing thigs, love it!
good luck , sj.
I need to do some stuff, but I'm gonna sit for another half hour or so. Just don't wanna do much .
adjusting to full time isn't actually harder than I thought it would be, It might even be easier . However, I still have to adjust.
Anyone want to play the productivity game on chat or email?
smonster, insent!
I have no work today, so I made myself find the medical info and actually called to make an appointment. It won't be until Feb. 9th and it won't be in the same town I live in, but, it's been made. Yay?
It's snowing rather heavily right now. Not yay.
I'm thinking about starting a food/cooking blog. I have no inspiration for what to name it. This may be because I don't really have a good focus for it yet -- I'm figuring it'll mostly be stuff that's quick and easy but good and healthy, with occasional interludes of "I have a long weekend and a huge box of oranges and grapefruit -- I'm going to make marmalade!" (I have no idea what is up with my mother's need to send me citrus. But every winter, she goes to visit her friend in Florida, visits an orchard, and sends me a box of about 30 pounds of citrus.)
Well, start with the word vegan -- because that is what you cook
and let me know when you start, I'm interested
I do think that part of quick and easy cooking is occasional big cooking project
Hil, could you let me know if you do start up that blog? My niece is a vegan, and my mom's tearing out her hair trying to come up with new meals for her that aren't the same old thing.
Sure, I'll let you guys know when I get it started. With probably the world's most boring name, like "Hillary's Vegan Food."
Kathy, is there any particular type of food or cooking that she's looking for or that she likes? I can probably recommend some cookbooks or blogs.
I really don't know. I'll be talking to Mom later today, and I'll be sure to ask her. Thanks for the help!
One cookbook that I'd recommend for practically anyone is Vegan with a Vengeance. It's a good selection of all different sorts of stuff, most of it fairly simple to make, and just about everything I've tried from that book has been good. The same author has a longer book called Veganomicon which is really good, too, but it's got a lot more complicated recipes and things that might take forever, along with the simpler ones. She's also got a new low-fat one out called Appetite for Reduction, and I've been making a lot of things from that lately, and I've liked nearly all of it, but, since it is a weight loss cookbook, it doesn't have the fun stuff like pancakes and cookies that the others have.
