Sheesh, Sail, I'm glad that did not turn out as badly as it could have - it is crappy weather to have to be out in for more than 30 seconds.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hooray on the family news, Seska! And continued ~ma for the other bits.
Stardate 01.13.11, 11:15, Phlegm Galaxy: Mucus storms continue unabated, and something seems to be sapping the ship's power supply. The Lymphnodia Nebulae appear swollen and strangely solid. We've restricted the crew to essential functions only in the hopes of making it out of here, but every advance seems to be countered with a setback. Captain's log, signing off.
My stepdad had a partial knee replacement this morning. The surgery went very well, but any quick recovery~ma that could be spared would be appreciated.
passes smonster a cuppa You poor thing.
Recovery~ma for your stepdad, sj.
Oh, smonster, I would slingshot you around the sun to bring you back in time before the nasty mucus storm struck and reroute you through clear space if I could.
I'm drinking a cuppa right now AIFG! I'm so glad I went to the doc right away, and I'm so glad she warned me about how long this would last and wrote me a note. Otherwise, I'd probably be out in the cold trying to work and making it worse.

I am so glad you are taking care of yourself instead of trying to do this.
Recovery~ma for your stepdad, sj.
smonster, I really hope you feel better soon - this thing is going on forever for you! Much health~ma and rest~ma.
I have been quite productive today and now I am going home. Tomorrow we've got a postgraduate research conference. I'm refusing on principle to go to the first session, where a biologist is talking about the toxic properties of tea. I think it would push me over the edge. There's not much point to existence without tea.
My academic support worker has agreed to be my lecturing support worker (are you keeping up, here?) - govt agency asked me to ask her. This must be a good sign.
Sorry for board-spamming today. I really am having the oddest day. In a good way. I think.

Thankfully, main computer systems appear unaffected.
~ma for sj's stepfather.

Seska, after all the stuff out there showing health benefits of tea drinking, I suppose that this would be rather like discussing possible adverse reactions to common, lifesaving medications.
